Welcome to Stip

Štip is a city in the Republic of Macedonia. Sustained by the Bregalnica river, Štip stands at an altitude of 300 m above sea level. The town has a preserved 14th-century monastery and the ruins of its old castle.
Novo Selo, one of the oldest parts of Štip, is famous as the birthplace of many revolutionaries and important people of Macedonian history including the first president of independent Macedonia Kiro Gligorov; Mr. Mihail, the previous head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church and Ivan Mihailov leader of VMRO between the World Wars.
